Practical Nursing

"Nydia has shown great leadership in the Practical Nursing Program. Nydia was a Senior in high school when she
completed the PN Select program a year ago. During this time she successfully completed the program and became a new mother. Today she has one of the highest grades in Nursing Specialties and continues to thrive and build relationships in all areas. Nydia is the first person to volunteer for projects and goes above and beyond to produce a product she can be proud of. She is a great team player and is always willing to help her peers succeed in the program. She is always early to clinical and abides by hospital and Southern Tech policies. Nydia has developed resilience throughout this program and utilizes her self-awareness to ask questions and help her succeed. Nydia is not only the student of the month, she is the student of the year. In the fifteen years I have been here, she is the first person I have seen possess all of the qualities listed. Please consider Nydia for the student of the month."
