Diesel

Description

The Diesel program gives students the skills to perform basic service and maintenance on a wide variety of trucks and buses. As our supply chain becomes increasingly sophisticated, technicians in the diesel industry continue to be in high demand, both locally and nationally. In this program, students learn about preventative maintenance, inspections, regulations, and documentation of services. While in the shop, students gain hands-on experience in electrical, brake, steering, hydraulics and ventilation system diagnosis. They also have many opportunities to problem solve and fix system malfunctions. The hours completed in this program are aligned with ASE/NATEF standards, and students will have an opportunity to earn industry recognized ASE certifications.
