Career/Technical Education Instructor- Aviation Maintenance Technician
- Essential Functions of the Job:
- Support and promote the SouthernTech adopted quality initiatives including the Baldrige criteria, Oklahoma Quality Award Foundation criteria, Tech Centers That Work, and Lean Office.

Workforce and Economic Development (WED) Client Services Coordinator
Purpose of Job:
The primary function of the Workforce Economic Development – Client Services Coordinator is to develop relationships within the Healthcare business community that leads to meaningful engagements with SouthernTech to assist clients in meeting their needs. Client Services Coordinators will typically spend 70%, or more of their time away from SouthernTech’s campus establishing and nurturing client relationships and actively promote and sell SouthernTech’s training products and services to district clients. The CSC will serve as a frontline representative of the Workforce and Economic Development division, with a primary focus on identifying opportunities, generating leads, and closing training service engagements that meet client and district goals.
- Essential Functions of the Job:

Finance Specialist
- Essential Functions of the Job:

- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvements in services to customers.

- Act as accounts payable for the Southern Tech Board of Education:
- Maintain financial software generated purchase order files in numerical order at all times; unpaid, pending payments, and processed payments.
- File and process all Accounts Payable invoices and packing slips with purchase orders daily.
- Accounts Payable checks to be processed at least every two weeks, with consideration to board approval and due dates.
- Reconcile purchase card and store card statements monthly and process payments timely to avoid late charges.
- Reconcile Treasury with Citizens Bank statement daily.
- Collaborate with the inventory clerk to ensure accurate and adequate inventory management.
- Responsible for completing payroll processing as required to include:
- Print payroll timesheet and related report
- Share the source documents with counterpart so payroll excel spreadsheets may be maintained daily or no later than prior to payroll processing date.

- Assist as required with payroll.
- Responsible for processing monthly benefits statements, making changes as necessary.
- Type and design general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, and graphs.
- Communicate effectively with SouthernTech customers/students/staff and answer questions or directs calls to the appropriate person or responds independently in a timely manner.
- Presents as professional front desk representative of SouthernTech in dress and manner.
- Handle confidential and non-routine information.
- Create and maintain database and spreadsheet files.

- Pickup and distribute mail daily for Business Office.
- Clear checks and receipts processed through Citizens Bank daily
- Cross Train in all Activity Fund and Student Accounting Processes

Education, Knowledge, Skill, & Experience Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business related field preferred.
- Possess or be willing to obtain School Treasurer & Encumbrance Clerk Certification within nine (9) months and maintain certification by obtaining at least 12 hours of continuing education every three years
- Three or more years’ experience in Accounting or Finance related field required, preferably in school or governmental setting.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate in person and over the phone and analyze the next step in customer service response.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers, students, and staff.
- Working knowledge of computerized office programs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

PART TIME POSITIONS
Adjunct Vocational-Technical Instructors, Post-secondary
Purpose of Job:
Teach or instruct vocational or occupational subjects at the postsecondary level to students who have graduated or left high school. Subjects to be taught include technical & industrial trades, business skills, health careers, safety, leadership skills, and life long learning classes. Teaching may take place at the Career Tech, at a satellite facilities or at a business location. Availability will be on a part time as needed basis throughout the fiscal year.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in the last 5 years in area of instruction and/or specific trade certification, if required.
Substitute Instructors
Subject matter experts needed to instruct classes in the absence of the regular instructor.
Requirements include:
- Certification in the subject matter area if required by the governing agency.
- Three - Five years experience in the subject matter area.
- Experience with a learning management system preferred.
