Auto Service
Description
The Auto Service program focuses on building a strong foundation for automotive preventative maintenance and
service. Students learn engine performance diagnostic techniques using a variety of industry-standard equipment
in our large on-campus garage. Students also learn diagnostic and repair protocols for brakes, steering,
suspension, electrical, transmission, and heat and air conditioning systems. Hours completed are aligned with
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)/ National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) standards, and students have the opportunity to earn ASE certifications that are highly valued in the industry.
Application
Applicants must complete a SouthernTech Application for Admission. Additional information and applications are
available at the SouthernTech campus and online at www.sotech.edu. Enrollment for this program is open to adults and partnering High Schools (juniors/seniors).
Financial Aid and Scholarships
This program is not yet approved for Federal Financial Aid; Payment Plans and Scholarships may be available.
