Description
The PN Select program is designed to provide students the foundational courses that prepare them to enter the Practical Nursing program offered at Southern Oklahoma Technology Center. The total hours for PN Select is 525 hours delivered over 2 semesters. The Practical Nursing Program provides the comprehensive coursework that prepares students to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), an important member of the health care team. While enrolled in the PN Select program, students will complete foundational coursework, learn the role of the LPN, and how to care for a variety of patients in a face to face instructional setting. The students are required to attend class for 3 hours each day for 2 semesters. Students that complete the PN Select program successfully will be admitted into the Practical Nursing Program and will receive 525 hours of advanced standing in the 1463-hour Practical Nursing program.

Applicants must complete a Southern Tech Application for Admission. Additional information and applications are available at the Southern Tech campus and online at www.sotech.edu. Enrollment for this career major is open to partnering High Schools (juniors/seniors) and Adults.
Tuition
High School Student: Free. Adult Student (in-district): $2.50 per hour; Adult Student (Out-of-District): $5 per hour; and Adult Student (Out-of-State): $7.50 per hour. Additional costs may include books, supplies, and miscellaneous fees.
