Southern Tech’s Student Senators hosted a blood drive in the Health West building on April 13, 2017.  With summer being a peak season necessitating blood, students and staff were happy to help.  Many students and staff members from across the campus donated 64 units of whole blood and apheresis.

Among the donors was Samantha Aldaba, Carpentry student from Marietta.  Aldaba said, when asked why she gave blood, “We were in student senate and the lady from the blood bank convinced me to give blood by telling me what the blood was going to be used for.”
