Maintenance/Operations Pathway

  • RESIDENTIAL HVAC TECHNICIAN - 1050 hours

Graduates of either of the above career majors keep our workplaces and living quarters heated and cooled efficiently. They maintain and install the equipment that keeps our food fresh or frozen in our supermarkets. Students learn the skills that prepare them to work as heating, air conditioning, and/or refrigeration technicians.

This class may be substituted for up to two years of the three years required in the apprenticeship for the Mechanical Journeyman's License. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification for refrigerant handling is also available.
