Southern Tech is searching for a Licensed Electrical Contractor with prior maintenance and management experience to assist the Facilities Director with Southern Tech’s facility management and maintenance. This position is a mid-management position with direct supervision of the transportation staff, and will assist the Facilities Director in creating innovative effectiveness and efficiencies for preventive maintenance. Other duties include planning, scheduling, and time management of maintenance and custodial activities, utilities consumption, new technologies, quality management, strategic leadership, environmental stewardship and sustainability, emergency preparedness and business continuity, and communications.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION: Requires HS Diploma, an electrical contractors license, and 3 years in the last five years of facilities maintenance management experience. CDL A or B with P & S endorsements and Oklahoma School bus permit are required or must be obtained within the first year of employment. Additional certifications in quality and /or ISO preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Professional demeanor; customer service oriented; proficient computer skills, specifically database, Word & Excel; experience with computerized/integrated work maintenance/management systems; and excellent supervisory skills.
Needed for morning and afternoon classes. Qualifications include:
- High school graduate required, Bachelor’s preferred.
- Three or more years’ experience in the field within the last 5 years.
- Must possess or be willing to pursue welding certification and NCCER Trainer/Instructor certification
- Oklahoma Standard Teaching Certificate or willingness to pursue in accordance with policy.
Summer Part Time Graphic Design Position
Southern Tech is looking for a person with experience in InDesign & Photoshop who has a creative, artful side to work part time during the summer on special projects. Preferred qualifications include an ACA certification and availability to work part time approximately 18 hours per week. No weekend work required.
SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS
Needed on an on-call basis in the absence of regular route drivers. Contract runs Mid-August through Mid-May.
Morning or afternoon routes available not to exceed 1000 hours per year. Contract runs Mid-August through Mid-May.
Full Time with Benefits
Hours available: 1050 per year Mid-August through Mid-May, or, 1350 per year July through June. July – June contract will include maintenance duties in addition to bus driving.
Minimum requirements for all bus driving positions:
CDL A or B with P & S endorsements and a valid State of Oklahoma school bus operator certification required. Must currently hold a DOT medical certificate or be able to pass DOT physical.
FOOD SERVICE - PART TIME
To assist in the preparation and serving of food and on-site catering. Hours vary, but will be approximately 25 hours per week.
Needed for trade specific classes: Diesel, Auto Mechanics, Auto Collision, Carpentry, HVAC, Welding, CAD, Mechatronics (Industrial Maintenance), and Fabrication & Design (CNC). No certification required. Subject matter experts preferred. Daily substitute rate.
Adjunct Instructors (temporary, part-time) for site specific safety training for Business and Industry and short-term training for Adult Career Development. Qualified candidate must possess experience in the field of instruction and have the ability to train others in any one of the following disciplines:
