Nurse Assisting is designed for students who are interested in discovering the field of health with an emphasis on Long Term Care. The program provides a study of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and an introduction to the basic skills needed for various medical professions. Students will have the opportunity to earn certifications in CPR, First Aid, Long-Term Care Aide, and Home Health Aide
Applicants must complete a Southern Tech Application for Admission. Additional information and applications are available at the Southern Tech campus and online at www.sotech.edu. Enrollment for this career program is open to adults and partnering High Schools (juniors/seniors).
Additional costs may include books, supplies, and miscellaneous fees.
In-district: $2.50 per hour
Out-of-District: $5.00 per hour
Out-of-State: $7.50 per hour
