                 FULL TIME POSITIONS

EVENING CUSTODIAN

Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition to include emptying trash, dusting. cleaning windows & doors and sanitizing hard surfaces.  Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include moving furniture & equipment, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

Requirements:

  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years' custodial experience
  • must be willing to work 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm Mon - Thu & 10:00 am - 6:00 pm on Fridays.
  • must be able to legally drive a SouthernTech vehicle.
  • Forklift Operation Certification required or must be willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.

ACCOUNTING CLERK

Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Job requirements:

  •  High School Diploma, Associates preferred.
  •  CareerTech Business Skills Certificate preferred.
  •  Possess or be willing to obtain School Treasurer & Encumbrance Clerk Certification.
  •  1-2 years’ experience in direct customer service.
  •  Must be able to legally operate a SouthernTech vehicle.

MARKETING & GRAPHIC DESIGN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

To assist the Marketing Coordinator with the development and implementation of a marketing and communications plan for SouthernTech that connects the purposes and philosophies of the technology center to the community-at-large and to potential clients, employees, students, and volunteers by making effective use of a variety of communication strategies all while ensuring brand integrity. To design or create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos. May use a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects.

Job requirements:

    • High School Diploma, Associates preferred.
    • Certification in Adobe creative Suite required.
    • Computer Training – Career Tech Certificate preferred
    • 1-2 years’ experience in graphics, digital media, or communications
    • Ability to operate various types of printing or publishing equipment.
    • Photography and Videography skills preferred.

Subject matter experts to teach occupational, career and technical, or vocational subjects in public or private schools in the absence of the regular instructor on a part-time as needed basis.

Food Service Worker

To assist in the preparation and service of food and on-site catering. Must possess Food Handlers certification or be willing to obtain within 60 days of hire. Previous food service experience preferred. $10 - $12 per hour depending on experience. Must be willing to cross train in all food service areas.

Bus Drivers

Transport students to and from school locations or on field trips.  Ensure adherence to safety rules. May assist passengers in boarding or exiting. May need to sanitize bus after route.

Job requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License (CDL A or B) with passenger and school bus endorsement.
  • School Bus Certification.
  • Valid DOT Physical Qualification Card.
