Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program not only prepares students to become licensed cosmetologists who provide nail, skin, scalp, and hair care to customers to help them enhance their personal appearance, but it benefits the community too.

Students receive classroom instruction and hands-on training in hair styling, cutting, and coloring. Included are manicures, pedicures, facials, lash and brow tinting and arching, and scalp treatments along with customer service and shop management.

The program also offers low-cost services to the public as part of the education of the students.  Treatment will be under the care of supervising licensed dental hygiene faculty and a clinical dentist who supervise care performed by the students. All work will be supervised by the cosmetology program instructor(s).

The cosmetology program not only benefits the community as an applicant, but as a patient as well. The cosmetology program offers low-cost cosmetology services to the public as part of the education of the students. Treatment will be under the care of supervising licensed and board certified cosmetologist who will supervise the care performed by the students.

How to Become a Customer

Please call (580)224-8241 to schedule a screening appointment. This appointment typically takes 30 minutes and is free of charge. The purpose of the screening is to evaluate treatment needs based on oral conditions. Patients will then be contacted to schedule an appointment as the times become available. No screening appointment is required for a child, but the child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
