HVAC Install & Technician
Description
Provides practical hands-on training that will prepare students to begin a career in HVAC. Students practice maintenance and installation of equipment in our state-of-the art workshops. Students learn the proper use of standard HVAC troubleshooting tools, brazing, refrigerant recovery and charging, basic install, basic electricity, measuring airflow, and constructing sheet metal fittings and more.
Prerequisites
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification for refrigerant handling is required to be passed (Social Security Number required).
Application
Applicants must complete a Southern Tech Application for Admission. Enrollment for this career program is open to adults and in-district High Schools (juniors/seniors).
Financial Aid and Scholarships
This program is not approved for Federal Financial Aid; scholarships may be available for those who qualify.
