Medical Assisting
Description
Medical Assisting is one of the fastest growing occupations in health careers today. A clinical medical assistant is a professional who performs routine clinical tasks in a medical office setting. Responsibilities may include patient triage, assisting medical practitioners during routine clinical exams, collecting and processing diagnostic tests, and medication administration. Students have the opportunity to take two National Certification exams to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and a Certified Phlebotomist. Instruction is presented through independent study, project based learning and clinical work experience.
