Why Take a Test?

Certification requirements are in high demand in all industries. Increasingly, employers use certification attainment to assess whether an individual possesses the skills and knowledge required for successful performance in a particular job role. Employers want to hire the best qualified individual who will make a positive contribution to company goals. Certifications tend to set prospective applicants above the competition.

By becoming certified, a prospective employee shows an employer that he/she:

• has met standards that have been verified by a third-party organization
• is dedicated to maintaining competency on a continual basis

Southern Tech is committed to excellence, it is important to make certification attainment accessible to our student body and our public constituents. Southern Tech supports students by administering both entry-level testing as well as completion certifications. Community members and employers can also benefit from the convenience of a local testing center that offers a variety of options with a growing library being added on demand.

The testing center is open 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday-Thursday
and 8:00am - 4:00pm Friday.

All tests must be scheduled 24 - 48 hours in advance.

Things to Consider:

• Cell phones and other electronic devices are not allowed in the testing center.
• Storage lockers are provided for personal items during testing.
